The Flirt: Part 5
Qualified
To say I was “built” was putting it mildly. Venice Beach was the Mecca for bodybuilding, so I left my home in the middle of the night with what little money I had and decided to make a new start. No need to pack much since my clothes didn’t fit anymore. I grabbed an extra pair of loose sweats then left my parents a note and a kiss on their sleeping cheeks as I crept out the door.
I drove through the night and arrived at first light. Muscle Beach.
After a quick bite to eat, my first stop was a local beach-ware shop to get a new bikini and wrap. Straight from the dressing room to the checkout counter, I could tell

Rejuvination [FMG]
On the left side of 304 Acre Avenue, there was a house filled with spritely young men who were awaiting what the uncertain future had in store for them. This story is not about them though. This story is about 304 Acre Avenue and it's owner Debbie Marshall. 87 and stricken to a wheelchair. No taller than 5'2. Fading silver hair falling out onto the cobble drive. Her story was coming to a close, well everyone's story has to at one point or another... On May 23rd, Debbie received a letter. Her mind was in a state of discombobulation. No one sends her letters. TAKE THE PILL AND RECAPTURE YOUR YOUTH! She giggled for a brief moment and then contemplated it. She had nothing to lose. If she died it would merely be

Natalie and the Pumpsuit - 5 [FMG]
The day working in her mother’s corner shop came and went in a blur. Natalie dashed home, gulped down the two post-supplements (which were also tasteless and a bit lumpy) as per the instructions, which she stuffed in her backpack and spent every private moment reading, re-reading, then re-reading again. Her mind and her body felt out of synchrony, despite the overwhelming pleasure of her morning workout, the euphoria seemed like a distant memory, poorly disguised as sheer denial. An over-sized mound of stock from delivery men had awaited her at the store – which meant Natalie’s Mum spent the day shouting down the phone, which put her in a bad mood, and would have normally irritated Natalie too if she hadn’t been too busy letting her physiotherapy textbooks gather dust in the corner while she scoured the PumpLab notes. Her phone had also been vibrating incessantly since she left the gym. Previously its needy tantrums would have had Natalie rushing over to it like a mother checking on

I had started a story with this title some years ago elsewhere, but then scrapped it and used the idea in a different set. Bringing it back as a series of short parodical...shorts.
